WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching invites you into a safe space dedicated to you. Within this space, you will explore your innermost thoughts, feelings, values, beliefs, and desires. What makes coaching so potent is that your coach is an expert in partnering with you to walk you through the process and prompt you with the right questions. This guides your awareness to deeper levels to better understand your situation, motivations, intentions, desires, goals, and limiting beliefs. 

Many share that they feel better clarity and alignment after their coaching sessions, resulting in more peace, self-love, and fulfillment in their lives.

SOMATIC COACHING

 

Somatic coaching incorporates a practice of bringing awareness to your body, using mindfulness, visualization techniques, and movement to access your body's sensations, deeper feelings, and desires.

Our bodies hold deep wisdom and memory for us. Our nervous system regularly sends messages between our brain and body, with 80-90% of our vagus nerve running from the body to our brains. Meaning most of what we experience is driven by our body and our deep, primal survival instincts.

When we become more conscious of what is happening within our bodies, we can more deeply access the knowledge and wisdom held within our bodies, and retrain ourselves to recognize our deeper truth and authentic selves. What becomes possible is our own unique answer to the somatic question: "What do you long for?"

WHAT DOES TRAUMA-INFORMED MEAN?

Trauma-informed care is an approach within human services where we recognize that the people we interact with likely have lived experiences that have resulted in trauma for them.

This means a heightened level of sensitivity, care, and taking an approach of "do no harm", including a prevention-based approach in potential harm that could be done otherwise. 

Trauma-informed care is similar to the hospital practice of washing your hands. Washing hands in hospitals is a standard practice to ensure pathogens are not spread. Trauma-informed care is a practice to ensure we take precautions not to activate trauma.
